Announcing the new Xero HQ integration for Google Hangouts Chat

Collaboration is a great problem solver. At Xero, we’re passionate about improving communication between small business owners and their advisors. That’s why we’re excited to announce today our partnership with Google Cloud for the launch of Hangouts Chat. Chat is an intelligent and secure collaboration tool in G Suite built to bring teams together. We’re releasing a Hangouts Chat bot for Xero HQ to make communications more efficient for accountants and bookkeepers and their clients.

Ask is an accountant’s assistant in Xero HQ for managing client queries. Our new chat bot for Xero HQ offers commands that enable accountants to access and manage Ask queries straight from the new Chat platform.

This feature brings together information gathering and visibility over responses in a modern collaboration platform. The chat bot for Xero HQ builds on Xero’s commitment to using artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve the efficiency of accountants and bookkeepers while creating more time to focus on advisory services.

Using the latest technology to facilitate collaboration

From direct messages to group conversations, Chat provides a centralized, integrated experience that makes team collaboration easy and efficient. The platform enables individuals and teams to easily communicate, helping users focus on the work. Connecting seamlessly with other G Suite apps, Chat enables users to quickly find messages and files.

The platform leans into Google’s artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities as well as those of third-party apps and bots, like Xero’s. Users of the Chat platform can easily manage compliance and ensure the safety and security of data for an enterprise of any scale.

Xero is focused on driving efficiency, building client relationships and improving advisory, making the partnership with Google Cloud and integration with Chat a perfect match.
