Introducing Xero Now 2019 + Xero Hour: Where community lives, learns and grows

At Xero, we believe in the strength of community. Our driving force? To empower our diverse network of small business owners and partners to learn, grow, and succeed, both professionally and personally. Which is why we’re excited to launch Xero Now 2019 and introduce our audience to Xero Hour.

An inspiring monthly video and content series, Xero Now is here to take you on an educational journey through what it means to be human in the world of business. Continuing the conversation live online, Xero Hour connects our accounting and bookkeeping members, providing a space to accelerate the sharing of thoughts, support, and experience – wherever in the country you may be.

Xero Now: Inspiring content to learn from and grow with

Here to help you do beautiful business, Xero Now exists to wow our wider community with relatable, diverse and globally-minded content. Drawing on our vast network of experts, this educational video series will explore topics as varied as mental health, staying ahead in a fast-moving industry, and how to keep your team motivated. Because running a small business isn’t just about the numbers; it’s about being human.

On hand to inspire you to do the best work of your life, our experts will challenge your thinking, spark inspiration and foster connection. From Xero partners and product experts to industry professionals and special guests, we’ll be providing valuable insights into the topics that matter in the small business landscape. Along with some you mightn’t have thought of yet. Our first episode launches on May 9th, and explores how to have happy, motivated staff (aka the key to running a successful business) with input from a host of inspiring industry professionals.

Xero Hour: A like-minded community to journey with

Xero Hour is here to facilitate connection and foster community. An inspiring space for our Australian partners to come face to face online – wherever you may be – each month we’ll connect you to a group of Xero advisors for a curated meeting of minds and sharing of ideas. Bypassing the limitations of geography, for one hour, our Xero partners will descend on Zoom to unpack and explore the themes raised in the most recent episode of Xero Now.

The perfect opportunity to learn from each other and journey together, Xero partner Andrew Urkins of Perth-based d1g1t explains: “Finding a safe space to have authentic conversations with other business owners who are navigating their own journey, and being able to learn from their experiences and share your own, is the most important thing you can do.

Don Grgic of Business Boost Centre in Canberra echoes this sentiment, “At the end of the day it’s all about growing your practice with like-minded people, and enjoying it while you’re at it.”

Centred on a well-researched and highly engaging program of topics, participants will be encouraged to share their ideas and experiences. Lead by partners with a passion for the platform and building a community of professionals around it, you’ll discover an unspoken trust that enables openness and genuine conversation.

From Perth to Canberra and beyond, Andrew says, “The digital community allows us to stay connected. Being in Perth can be isolating – so it helps with the FOMO. I remember my first XeroCon, meeting people ‘for the first time’ that I had already been speaking to online for months. It felt like we were old friends. There’s something incredibly satisfying about being able to do that.”

Join us, and let’s grow together.
