Three Reasons to Attend Xerocon San Diego 2019

In June, we’re hosting Xerocon in San Diego! Featuring speakers, breakout sessions, networking, tools and technology, and lots of fun, Xerocon San Diego has something for everyone. We got in touch with some of our accounting and bookkeeping partners to talk all things Xerocon and what they’re looking forward to at this year’s event.

Each year, Xerocon is a must-attend event in my book, and this marks my 6th year in attendance. No other event lets me absorb as many new insights about new technologies and solutions, and get the chance to connect with peers and industry leaders. I always leave Xerocon feeling inspired and eager to apply my new knowledge. Here are several reasons why I believe Xerocon is one of the best events of the year for accountants and bookkeepers:

Build real-life connections

Attendees from all over the Americas head to Xerocon, making it a great place to build your network and develop new connections. You’ll get to meet other accountants and bookkeepers, as well as business owners, and Xeros themselves. If you’re just getting started on your Xero journey or struggling to understand what the next steps are to bring your practice online, you can easily connect with others to hear their success stories and what they’ve learned along the way. The network I’ve built through Xerocon is supportive and encouraging — I’ve referred work back and forth with other partners and even call up others to talk through ideas when I’m looking to implement changes to my practice. Chatting with developers about Xero also provides a neat opportunity to share feedback and ideas for how to strengthen the product. And after-hours, there are tons of great networking opportunities and fun memories to be made. Who can forget the dance party in the rain in Denver, the awesome pub crawl in Austin or the tour of the ATL hotspots. Not only did I network with fellow peers and Xeros, I have built lifelong relationships and friendships along the way.

Learn something new

Each year at Xerocon, I’m always met with an atmosphere filled with positivity and sharing. I can attend educational sessions, learn about new partnerships or integrations with Xero, and hear from many inspirational speakers. But, one of the best parts is getting to learn from your peers. The conversations sparked at Xerocon are truly invaluable — you can understand first-hand about the challenges business owners face, where they want to take their business, and ways to collaborate in the future. And, when the event wraps up, it’s easy to take these new insights or best practices and implement them across your own client base.

Become part of a community

The party doesn’t end when you leave Xerocon. Throughout the year, there are many ways I stay in touch with like-minded accounting professionals. I am constantly engaging with other Xero partners and helping to answer any product questions or provide recommendations in the North American Facebook group. Xero Roadshows give accountants and bookkeepers the opportunity to take a deep dive into big issues or trends facing the industry, while Xero Hours are a great place to come together to share ideas and experiences. Or, you can find a local Xero community across the Americas so you always know how to make the most out of Xero. Now in my 8th year as a Xero partner, I have attended and participated in many live events, webinars, and presentations.  I have learned as much as I have contributed to this awesome community and highly recommend you get involved.

Grab your tickets to Xerocon today to build real-life connections, get the latest product news, and more. See you in San Diego!
