Xero partners with David Koch to move small businesses online

We are looking for six retail businesses to be featured in a TV documentary series on the Seven Network, which will closely follow their transformation from a bricks and mortar store to a global e-commerce brand. This is a fantastic opportunity for you or one of your retail clients!

Xero is very excited to be partnering with Pinstripe media to create the an inspiring new TV show ‘Bricks & Clicks’ hosted by David Koch. This new show will help to connect Australian retailers to the tools and resources they need to go digital and transform into a global e-commerce business.

Trent Innes, Managing Director of Xero Australia, said: “Our data shows there is a direct correlation between digital connectivity and positive business outcomes for small business. By enabling Australian retailers to go digital and bring their bricks and mortar shop online, we can empower people to run global businesses from their hometown. This has the power to not only impact individual businesses but to promote jobs and economic growth for regional communities.”

The selected businesses will get the  chance to work hand-in-hand with a team of Xero experts and other mentors; including being part of two intensive Sprint-Weekend workshops to help guide them through the entire journey of getting online.

With global retail e-commerce sales set to reach over US$4.5 Billion by 2021* and with  one in 10 items predicted to be purchased online by 2020**, we believe e-commerce can provide significant growth opportunities for traditional retailer stores.

Trent Innes expressed that he “truly believes we can solve some of Australia’s biggest problems by helping small businesses use digital tools more effectively. If more people can work from regional Australia, we can create more jobs in these areas and relieve house price pressures in the cities. Xero is very excited to support a program like Bricks and Clicks which arms businesses with the education and digital tools needed to start their online journey.”

For those who are not selected for the show, there will be a free ten week online ‘Bricks and Clicks’ course that will be available to any retail business who wants to build their digital skills. Further information will be released shortly on the broader online learning platform.

How it works:

Applicants will need to be available to participate in two filmed Sprint-Weekend workshops in Sydney in early 2019, where a team of experts will take their business through the process of getting online.

Travel and accommodation will be provided to participants as well as hands-on mentoring and support throughout the program. Pinstripe media’s camera crew will visit business owners before and after the transformation.

How to Apply:

This is a fantastic opportunity for retail businesses keen to take their  businesses global and receive promotion on national television! Expressions of interest are now open, businesses can self-nominate for the program or others including advisors can nominate businesses whom they believe would benefit from the program at: https://www.kochiesbusinessbuilders.com.au/bricksandclicks/
